Well, if he's good enough for Paul Anka...

Pop vocalist George Bugatti, 37, has a way with words. He heats up the night with his lyrical delivery while singing hip arrangements from the Great American Songbook as well as his own tunes. A classically trained pianist, he breathes new life into songs written by "a lot of dead people." One famous fan--Paul Anka--helped jump-start Bugatti as a casino headliner. George Bugatti performs Tues.-Sat. 8 p.m.-midnight at Lake Las Vegas' Ritz Carlton through May 11. Free.

Did Mona Lisa do three-ways?

The opening of The Gallery Au Go-Go's "Adults Only" show didn't shut down until four in the morning and a steady stream of art enthusiasts have been flowing through the gallery. So, we don't have to sell you on this one. It's art. It's VERY adults only (leave the kiddies and your moral indignation at home) and you've only got another week to see it. The Gallery is located at 4972 S. Maryland Parkway. Hours are noon to 8 pm. and the show ends on April 27. For more info call 597-1549.

Return of the 10w40 pompadour

The 6th annual Rockabilly Weekender comes to The Gold Coast this, uh, weekend. The event features lots of stuff to buy and dozens of vintage and retrobands, including Art Adama, The Paladins and The Rizlas, a hard-edged rockabilly group from Tokyo featuring the legendary Go Shimizu. According to the promoters, "Go is demented!" So, they've got that going for them. The music runs from 1 p.m. to somewhere around breakfast time for four days, April 17-20. For info call 367-7111.

Och! They're not skirts, dammit!

The Las Vegas Highland Games and Celtic Gathering, which is in serious need of a name simplification, takes place this weekend at Fitzgeralds hotel-casino on Fremont Street and at Freedom Park. There will be a dozen or so bands including The Indulgers, bagpipes, Highland dances and sports competitions such as the Scottish "caber tossing," in which guys in dresses see how far they can heave a telephone pole. Freedom Park is on the corner of East Washington Avenue and North Pecos Road. The event runs Friday through Sunday. For more info call 433-2637.
