(PG, 67 min.) [a.k.a. Disney's Teacher's Pet] Not to be confused with the 1958 Doris Day/Clark Gable comedy, Disney's animated musical TV spinoff has Nathan Lane reprising his role as (the voice of) Spot the dog, who hopes to become a real boy with help from mad scientist Kelsey Grammer. Timothy Bjšrklund directs a script by Bill and Cheri Steinkellner. With Estelle Harris, David Ogden Stiers, Wallace Shawn.

Torque

(PG-13, 81 min.) Biker Martin Henderson (with his buddies Jay Hernandez and Will Yun Lee) mixes it up with drug dealer/gang boss Matt Schulze, who frames him for the murder of the kid brother of rival bike gang boss Ice Cube. Debut director Joseph Kahn's drama, written by first-time screenwriter Matt Johnson, is co-produced by Neal Moritz (The Fast and the Furious) and co-stars Monet Mazur.
