2 AM: Club life with Meme Hsu

This weekend, I spent my time with the crew of Carnaval Court. The "party" consisted of the best lighting and sound guy around, Matt, the band members from Reflex, an '80s cover band, and the hottest and funniest bartender I have ever met, Osh.

We hit up the Boston, at 1030 E. Flamingo Road, for some live music, a few games of pool and darts. Here's a tip for all my female readers: Do not play strip pool or strip darts if you are drunk. You may end up in your g-string at the end of the night. The Carnaval Court is an exciting outdoor entertainment venue located at Harrah's Las Vegas, 3475 Las Vegas Blvd. South. This is a great place to hang out if you are waiting for the clubs to open. The circular bar at the Carnaval Court boasts some of the world's top flair bartenders like my newest crush, Osh. All I can say is it's amazing what they can do with their hands.

In addition to the great bar staff, guest can listen to live bands, such as Reflex, which takes the Carnaval Court stage daily, performing a wide range of music, from pop to jazz to beach music. Stop by the Carnaval Court sometime and check out some of the coolest guys around. Remember to tip the bartenders well and tell them I sent you. Open Sunday-Thursday 1 p.m.-12 a.m.; Friday and Saturday 1 p.m.-1 a.m. (Harrah's Las Vegas, 369-5000, www.harrahs.com)

Toss in some Ice

On Friday, Jan. 23, DJs David Christian and Supra will perform at Krush Fridays at Ice. Krush Fridays feature the best in hip hop, R&B and classics. In the lounge, Ice will feature two of Las Vegas' top local DJs spinning all genres of electronic dance music. This Friday, DJ D-Mixx, DJ One-Zero and Frank Richard will spin in the lounge. Ice is located at 200 E. Harmon Ave. Locals are free. (Ice, www.icelasvegas.com, 699-5528)

Drench yourself in fun

Today, DJ Yuda, one of my favorite local DJs, will hold a CD release party at Drenched at Rain in the Desert, in the Palms. His new CD is titled 7th Heaven, and features some of his best work. DJ Yuda is one of the talented resident DJs at Seven, located at 3724 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Doors open at 11 p.m. Free CD giveaways. (Rain in the Desert, 938-9999, www.rainatthepalms.com; Seven, at Harmon, 739-7744)
