Rant

I have a problem with police officers wearing short pants. I know it's hot in Las Vegas. I understand that officers are putting their lives on the line, and they deserve a little creature comfort while they do it. But the short pants are problematic. They make people giggle. They don't engender respect. They make officers look like postal workers. It's not right. I say make the police wear long pants year-round and give 'em a little raise for their trouble.--Geoff Schumacher
